I have been interested in the Law of Attraction since September 2008 when a very successful businessman briefly mentioned the book 'The Secret' by Rhonda Byrne while speaking on a topic of wealth creation. If you have not yet heard of this Law, these thoughts may not make sense to you as this entry is a summary of my thoughts, not a detailed explanation in an organized presentation. I suggest that you begin your search for understanding with any of the many books about this Law, then feel free to join in my discussion of this topic by adding your thoughts, questions and experiences for others to learn and grow.
This is a summary of what I have come to know so far, and what has been on my mind recently:
Your desires, your thoughts create real vibrations of energy sent out from you to create whatever it is you are focusing on - and your emotions, your feelings allow you to 'tune in' to the correct channel. If you feel good, knowing that you have already created the reality that you desire, that reality will be drawn to you, or perhaps more precisely, you will be drawn to it. If you are feeling frustration, fear, anger - you are on an opposite frequency of what you desire, thereby pushing you away from what you actually want. All that is required of you is to identify what you want and have a belief that you will be delivered to it - just relax, enjoy the feelings of actually having what you desire and you shall have it. You will not need to 'work hard' or struggle through something unless that is what you want to do. Action will not be required - you do not need to look busy. Trust your instincts, if it feels right to do something, if you feel excited about taking a certain action - take it now! Don't question it - by the time you come to a logical decision the window of opportunity may be lost, or more likely, the logical decision is not even the correct one.
I have seen this to be true in my own life. Looking back to times when I did not know about this I would think it was coincidence or the result of hard work. Upon analyzing certain situations, I realized that all of these events began with a thought and a desire to make them happen. Some things happened in a short time, while others happened a long time after I initially thought of it. The more focused and detailed the thought, combined with the level of excitement and anticipation that I felt created some of the most enjoyable times of my life - times that I still remember clearly today, still share their stories today and still feel some of the same excitement about today - years later. Interestingly, I actually find it hard to remember specific events in my life that I didn't care too much about or didn't specifically think much about or feel one way or another about. Of course, the negative thoughts, situations, things, feelings are memorable, but find that focusing on those events do not seem to bring anything positive to me, so I leave them alone instead focusing on the positive as much as possible. Actually, the negative situations are the perfect way to identify exactly what it is that you do want - the opposite of what you don't want, right?
The universe has so much to offer us - limited only by our thoughts. Life is more than just surviving. We are explorers, discoverers, inventors, teachers, creators. Find joy in what you do, find a hobby, be passionate, be courageous.
What do you think?
